History of bingo and how it became popular

Bingo is a very popular game in the world, but how did the game became popular? Actually the game started in 16thcentury that to in Italy in the year 1530, in early days the game was known as”lo Giucco del Lotto D’Italia”, it was played on every Saturday and the game is still played on every Saturday in Italy.
In the 1778 the game arrived in France and it was called as Le Lotto and it was played by the wealthy French men, women were not allowed to play along with men. And then after in 19th century the game was used by the German people to teach mathematics, spelling and history for the children. Then in 20th century in 1929 Americans came to know about the game and the game was played in south and was known as” Beano”.
The game was called Beano because whenever the caller shouts, the number present on the player card were placed by the bean on the said number. Whenever a line is totally covered with beans in any direction he is the winner and he shouts “Beano”. In New York a toy salesman named Edwin S. Lowe sees the game and he takes game to next level.
In 1930 Mr. Lowe hires a professor from the Columbia University called Carl Leffler to do variations and increase the bingo card combinations. Actually the name changed from beano to bingo because Mr. Lowe saw some of the players, playing the game and someone has won and in excitement he shouted bingo instead of beano Mr. Lowe has heard that and from their onwards he adopted the name Bingo and since from that tome it has been called as Bingo.
Then the bingo game arrived in UK in 1968 and Bingo game was formalized in UK under the gaming act of 1968, new bingo halls start to emerge throughout the UK. The national bingo was launched in the year 1986.in the year 2003 the first online Bingo site was launched in UK.
From there after the Bingo game became popular. At present in the world there are more than 8 million people are playing online or offline Bingo. Bingo is a game where the players can have fun and they can win lots of cash as well as prizes also.
